Bridges

Back to Restorative Dental Services

A bridge is usually made up of two crowns for the teeth on either side of a missing tooth (or teeth) – these two anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth – and a false tooth/teeth in between. Dental bridges are supported by natural teeth or implants. They work by literally bridging the gaps between missing teeth, closing spaces with durable, injury-resistant, realistic-looking artificial teeth. Because they are semi-permanent, bridges can be removed only by a dentist but are long lasting and strong.
